Aaron Herzberg is a Founding Partner at Puzzle Group Law Firm, PC a Law Firm focused on cannabis licensing in Southern California. His expertise includes governmental affairs and lobbying, municipal and land use law, drafting ordinances, obtaining municipal licenses, preparing winning, merit-based applications and transactional law specific to cannabis.
Recognized for his influence, Herzberg has been interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Forbes, Rolling Stone, and the New York Times for his insight into the emerging cannabis industry. Mr. Herzberg and his partners have been involved in acquiring over 1 million square feet of licensed cultivation space in the Los Angeles area as well as making in excess of $50 million dollars of investment in the cannabis space.
Mr. Herzberg served on the City of Long Beach’s Medical Marijuana Task Force and was a founding member of the Nevada Cannabis Industry Association. In 2018 the Orange County Register named Mr. Herzberg as one of the top 100 most influential people in Orange County stating that “Herzberg is helping shape California’s legal cannabis industry while keeping the focus on medical patients as his two Orange County dispensaries bus in seniors for free, host workshops for veterans and offer low-cost consultations for cancer patients.” Mr. Herzberg founded and owns several award-winning dispensaries in Southern California including Bud & Bloom as well as Modern Buds a soon to be opened dispensary in Long Beach. Mr. Herzberg was selected as a SuperLawyer in 2015 and is a recipient of an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
Milja Miric, Associate
Milja earned her law degree with a concentration in Environmental Law from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. Milja was an editor for the Inter-American Court of Human Rights Project for Loyola’s International and Comparative Law Review. She was co-President of Loyola’s Women’s Law Association and a current member of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.
During law school, Milja served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Neil W. Bason of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. She also interned with the California Coastal Commission and the California Attorney General’s Office in the Land Law, Environment, and Natural Resources Section.
Milja graduated, cum laude, with degrees in Political Science and Art History from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2013. She is licensed to practice law in the State of California.
Sophia Naranjo, Paralegal
Sophia Naranjo graduated with a B.A. in Communications from California Lutheran University in 2010. Sophia developed administrative and customer service skills through several years working in Sales, notably for a growing startup, LD Products, and helped support the company through corporate and marketplace expansions. Sophia went on to receive her Paralegal Certificate from UC Irvine's Compressed Paralegal Certificate program and has been with Puzzle Group since March 2018.
Sylvanna Le | Law Clerk
Sylvanna Le is a recent graduate from Southwestern Law School, and currently a law clerk at Puzzle Group Law. Before starting at Puzzle Group Law, Sylvanna graduated from UCLA in 2013 and worked in the entertainment industry in the business affairs department at a talent agency. While at Southwestern Law School, she worked as an editor at the Biederman Blog where she curated, wrote, and published several articles about new and emerging issues within the entertainment industry.
